I really appreciate the way members of Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints dress for Church. It is respectful and a witness in itself. If only other Churches followed the practice.

I read on KSL that the church is opposing SB 132. I sustained the leaders of the church to lead me in areas related to spirituality. I vote for officials to lead me in governmental matters. The church has clout because of its member base. I am one of those members. When I sustained my leaders, I did not sustain them to push any agenda that has to do with State matters. Please do not use my membership in Christ’s church to push a political agenda that at least one of your members does not agree with.

Celebrations such as Xmas or Easter are of pagan origin.

But there are verses in the bible which tells us about pagan beliefs-

1 Corinthians 10:20 (NIV)
No, but the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to God, and I do not want you to be participants with demons.

Therefore I say this – indeed, in union with the Lord I insist on it: do not live any longer as the pagans live, with their sterile ways of thinking.

In reply to J.D. Moore. If a woman’s body is distracting, it is your fault. I am not saying that it’s appropriate to wear those clothes, but you should be able to control yourself when a woman is wearing a shirt or dress that are not appropriate. Just don’t look at the woman. If you can’t keep it in your pants, don’t go to church. Learn to control yourself. It’s gross that you have to blame the woman for getting distracted by these things.

I am a Christian but not a Mormon my Co-worker and friend at work who is LDS he constantly shuns me when he doesn’t like an answer I give when texting sometimes, lasting over a month. Not replying to any messages when I send them. I worry if he was excommunicated in the Mormon church and now does the same to others. I know in the Bible the steps prior to “dusting off your feet” verse. His shunning has nothing to do with being in sin. Since I am not seen as a brother as in the LDS church why is he applying this to me>?

In reply to Gale. I did not understand or saw a clear answer to the question. If God created Satan knowing he would rebel, doesn't that make Satan a victim, or God an accomplice. My best thought on this would be that Satan was created as an non-sentient being (robot like) to carry out God's plan to fulfill God's glory. But why this painful and torturous plan for mankind and the Christ.
