The scriptures are the way I most often receive answers to my prayers. It is so true—the prophets of the Book of Mormon (and all scripture) really are like us. They are constantly trying to convince us that they, too, have flaws, because they know it’s in our nature to think the spiritual experiences we read about in the scriptures must be reserved for prophets only. But even Moses dismissed this notion: “Enviest thou for my sake? would God that all the Lord’s people were prophets, and that the Lord would put his spirit upon them!” (Numbers 11:29)

Ironically, we have to believe they’re not so different from us for us to realize that we, too, qualify for all the blessings of the gospel. Great talk—thank you.
